Duality. drops experimentally soulful record “Ketamine”

duality. expand on the rich sounds of soul, R&B, and hip-hop with melodic deliveries and intricate sonic detail.

The music group, comprised of Daigeau. and LOU.M, add that their sound is melodically driven but delivered with percussive, catchy cadences reminiscent of Field Mob. Their latest record, “ketamine,” piggybacks off this unique concept.

“The idea for Ketamine came first from the beat produced by Ashton McCreight, of which we both loved the cords. We tossed some melodies back and forth for the hook, then one day Lou sent over what is now the hook, and Daigeau knew he had to come with it on the verse.” duality. says.

Blending hints of smooth harmonies with jazz and soul, “ketamine” sets the tone to profess an earnest love for someone special. Between the relaxing tonality, you can hear duality. willing to go the distance for their admirer.

A minute in, listeners also get a sense of the California-based musicians’ love language.

Home we be alone (uh)/Show you what I’m on/Tell me what you got on when we speak through speaker phone,”

The depth of their loyalty extends beyond romantic relationships. “If you homies in rotation/That’s the only way you getting my spins,” he raps.

Without much reason, they clarify that she’s in the spot for the season

duality. ‘s group formation was sparked by the natural chemistry they’ve had from the first time they linked in the studio. In essence, music is their way of expressing all parts of who they are.

100% of the inspiration comes from real-life experiences and realizations which keeps us true to who we are as people,” duality. adds.

“ketamine” is just a hint of the artists’ unique styles. In early December they are hosting a live taping of their (Tiny Desk inspired) recorded performance in DTLA.
