Eitan Noyze

Eitan Noyze (@eitannoyze), a talented musician and producer, has captivated audiences with his unique sound and versatile approach to music. Born Eitan Noy, he grew up in various parts of New York, immersing himself in the vibrant music scene of Manhattan, Westchester, Long Island, and now calls Queens his home. With his studio nestled in Greenpoint Brooklyn, right by the iconic Kosciuszko Bridge, Eitan has carved out a space where his creativity thrives.

When asked about the origin of his stage name, Eitan Noyze explained, “My birth name is Eitan Noy. Eitan, meaning strong in Hebrew, resonated with me. I added ‘Noyze’ to symbolize the idea of strong noise. So, my name essentially means Strong Noise.” This name perfectly encapsulates his artistic vision and sets the stage for the powerful impact of his music.

Describing his sound to those unfamiliar with his work, Eitan Noyze stated, “It’s something new with a nostalgic feel. Authentic. Genuine. I do all genres of music, not only hip-hop.” Drawing inspiration from various sources, Eitan’s music defies categorization, blending elements from different genres to create a refreshing and captivating sonic experience.

Eitan’s journey into music was fueled by his passion for the art form. “I am a fan first,” he shared. Witnessing the transformative power of music as a DJ, Eitan was inspired to explore further and delve into music production. As he honed his skills, he found inspiration in influential producers such as Large Professor, DJ Premier, Dr. Dre, and Timbaland.

His latest project, “Hornography,” is an instrumental album that showcases the versatility of different horn instruments over a hip-hop backbone. Eitan shared, “‘Hornography’ samples horns from various genres and styles, bringing them together in a modern yet nostalgic sound.” Created solely using the renowned Akai MPC 3000, the album pays homage to the NYC party scene, specifically “Soul in the Horn,” where brass-driven music from different genres is celebrated.

Eitan firmly believes that this album occupies a unique space in the instrumental producer scene. He explained, “In ‘Hornography,’ the beats stand alone and don’t necessarily need a rapper or singer on them. The music speaks for itself.” The video for the track “Horn Star” captures the essence of New York City, showcasing the beautiful skyline, gritty streets, and the vibrant uptown jazz culture that inspired the album.

One standout track on “Hornography” is “Whisper,” where Eitan ingeniously flips a familiar saxophone sample in an unprecedented manner. He explained, “The smooth, recognizable sax riff blends with hard-hitting boombap drums, creating a unique sound that is both new and nostalgic.” This track exemplifies Eitan’s ability to infuse classic elements with his own innovative style.

When it comes to his music and projects, Eitan hopes that fans will embrace the instrumental experience and perhaps even resample his work in the future. He desires to contribute back to the culture and art that have inspired him.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Eitan also runs the Brooklyn Noyze Lab, a studio he founded in 2015. From producing to recording, mixing, and mastering, Eitan’s hands-on approach ensures a creative environment for himself and his clients. Through word of mouth and referrals, he has built a clientele that appreciates the dedication and quality of his work.

Looking ahead, Eitan Noyze has exciting plans for the future. He intends to release more instrumental music and collaborate with talented MCs on upcoming projects.
