Their sound fuses the raw grit of rap, the edgy spirit of punk, and the futuristic pulse of hip-hop, creating a sonic experience that is both electrifying and unpredictable.

Exclusive interview with GB3
- Hey GB3! Thank you for taking the time out to speak with REMIXD Magazine! Let’s jump right in. What inspired the transition from the Gnarly Boyz to GB3, and what does the new name represent for you as a group?
Shokk: It was the feeling of wanting something new Felt like we did most if not all of what we could’ve done with the gnarl3y boyz brand, think we got what we wanted out of it just looking for a fresh new start.
Dash: Gnarl3y Boyz was a chapter that expressed a certain time in our lives GB3 is the future a more elevated version of the Gnarl3yboyz . This transition is going to be everything we’ve learned over the years balled up into 1.
- Great! With that being said, how has your sound evolved with this rebrand, and what can fans expect from your upcoming music?
Shokk: The beats play a big role in our rebrand. 808s hit harder, we have a lot more alternative and crossover records but don’t get me wrong the bars are still there too.
Dash: Wanted our new sound to really hit a specific crowd of people who are stuck in between the mainstream and underground world so a lot of our records are very catchy but still edgy and something you can party to.
Jawara: With our new sound we wanted to lean more towards anthems giving the crowd something to sing along to. From the vocals to the mixes, the records are just cleaner, and allows our melodies to expand make the our songs just sound bigger than our older records.
- As many may know, your style is a huge part of your identity-how did you develop your signature pastel blue, green, and pink aesthetic, and what does it say about your movement?
Shokk: We always naturally found ourselves shopping for our favorite colors (red blue and green) so it was never hard to correspond with each other but the pastel colors came about when again we were just looking for something different.
Dash: Gnarl3y Boyz was our reckless rockstar era while GB3 is kind of a little more laid back so we’re looking for something more settle and high fashion. Spoke with our publicist Venus and threw out a few ideas, and the pastel look just kind of stuck with us.

- You recently had a big moment on Druski’s “Coulda Been Records” and caught the attention of Rolling Loud-how have these opportunities shaped your journey?
Jawara: That was probably one of if not the biggest moments of our career. We gained followers from all over. Been times that we went to different cities and people recognized us. Even had Kai cenat do a reaction video to us. We were able to get some show bookings and featured on Ryan Witdasauce YouTube channel as special guests. I’ll say that opportunity did a lot for us put our name and faces in front of the right people and gained a whole new following.
- How do you balance staying authentic to your roots while pushing your music and brand into the future?
Dash: By remembering where you came from. Stay close to your family and never stop believing in yourself. You have to stay true to yourself whenever you’re pushing for a dream, if you ever allow anyone to redirect your vision then it wasn’t yours to have in the first place. Knowing what you want is where the passion comes from and as long as you stay passionate in what it is you want, all your dreams and aspirations can come true.
- Lastly, excited to hear more! What’s next for GB3? Any exclusive details on new drops, collaborations, or upcoming performances?
Shokk: Absolutely! Stay tuned because we have a lot of new music and music videos on the way. “Understand Me” single is mixed and mastered so that’ll be our next drop. Got a performance with The Lighthouse ATL, so be sure to be on the lookout for that. We’re also working on a YouTube show, plus some skits and photoshoots. New merch and looking into stepping into modeling and acting as well, so there’s a lot to look forward to and I can’t wait to share it all with everyone.
