Gusto Lemiert is on strictly business time as he looks to become next to burst from LA’s rap scene. He’s been keeping quiet, but with his forthcoming project Evolution of the Trap dropping later this year, Gusto’s ready to make some noise. The South Central rising star graces the scene with his latest single and visual, “Trap Back,” which is out now.
Gusto’s been on the come up and ready to rise amongst LA’s new wave of rappers molding the sound of tomorrow. His music has picked up traction, garnering millions of views on YouTube. After becoming inspired by hometown heroes before him, he’s ready to pave a lane of his own.
“Just really seeing people like Nipsey [Hussle] and Casey Veggies and other LA artists become successful,” Gusto said in a recent interview. “I knew it was life changing if something was to blow.”
Being based in Ohio, the rapper’s latest offering reveals influences from neighboring Detroit’s new sound and flow structures. His signature ad-libs and animated, paraphernalia-filled bars mesh well with the high energy on the instrumental. Exactly the type of chemistry that Gusto says he has in mind when making music.
“My sound is a turnt up, therapeutic type vibe,” he says. “I’ma always come off on some smooth shit, but what I’m talking about is [some] sick individual shit.”
