Pain and humble beginning are no stranger to Watts newest rapper Mister. Hailing from sunny California, Mister has cultivated an inspiring musical career for himself that continues to draw listeners in.
A true product of his environment, the West Coast rapper has transformed his past environment into a story that many can relate to. Mister has had an impressive start to 2021 when he debut his first project Astronaut Kid to the masses. After gaining traction on his first release the rising star collaborated with local freestyle platform ‘The Corner Store LA’ which displayed his freestyle skills and ability to vary his flow.
This year, Mister returns with his sophomore project Heart In the Trenches which is a seamless mix of “different melodies” with appearances from local LA rappers Lil’ Deuce, White John, and Sad 1900. The 15-track project is inspired by moments of Mister’s childhood and how he reflects on it today. He is able to pull emotions from that space and express it through his music.
“Growing up in an environment that many others can relate to because every place has a ghetto and many people feel the way I do so I feel I can be their way to express what they go through.”
Mister’s passion for evolving as an artist is greatly present throughout the project. His grind is sure to leave position impressions on fans so never give up on your dreams.
“I’m passionate about music because I was always told no matter what you do, give it your all and I feel my drive and love for music inspires me to keep going to create better and better songs.”
