HoodTrophy Bino (@hoodtrophybino) is keeping his momentum up. After the success of “I Want Her” with Kalan.FrFr and a run of opening slots for Trippie Redd and Chris Brown, the rising LA rapper just dropped a new single and video titled “No Way.”
The track hits hard from the jump. “No Way” centers on one scenario that feels straight out of a moral nightmare: “Sign this deal you rich for life… but you gotta slime your brother out tonight.” The repeated hook, “No way, no way,” comes across less like a catchy line and more like a promise he refuses to break.
The production really adds to the mood of the song. The 808s hit slow, almost like they’re creeping up on you, and you can hear little bits of street sounds in the background. Cars speeding by, voices talking, and other small noises make the whole track feel real, like you’re actually standing in Bino’s world. You can almost feel the pressure he’s talking about, with loyalty on the line and people you would never turn your back on.
“No Way” is the newest look at his upcoming album The Invasion, which is set to drop next month. Bino’s storytelling keeps getting sharper, and he’s tapping into more personal stuff, so the project is already sounding like it might be his strongest yet.
Furthermore, he’s also getting ready to hit the road again, joining Big Sad 1900 on tour at the end of November. If you’ve seen him perform recently, you already know these new songs are going to hit even harder live.
Additionally, check out the “No Way” video and keep up with HoodTrophy Bino as he moves into this next phase.
