AntoneNow Says Music Came To Him Naturally

“My writing and sound for the music almost came to me naturally,” he reflects. J. Cole remains a central figure in AntoneNow’s musical journey, with “The Cut Off” from the “KOD” album serving as a pivotal moment. “Right there, I knew I wanted to make music like that,” he says. As he delved deeper into the Dreamville record label and artists like Smino, JID, and Saba, AntoneNow found a rich source of inspiration for his own musical endeavors. “Too Much,” the first single from his upcoming project, dropped on December 8th.

Produced by his collaborator Docent, the song takes aim at rappers who have lost sight of the essence of hip-hop. AntoneNow shares, “It’s about these rappers who are just doing too much and have lost focus of the music.” The track serves as a critique of the current state of the industry, highlighting the need to return to the roots of spreading a meaningful message through music. Looking forward, AntoneNow is tight-lipped about his upcoming album but promises a new and elevated experience.

“I’m working on an album right now. I can’t tell you much, but it’s crazy, definitely something new from me. A level up.” AntoneNow’s message to fans is clear: “I’m here to stay. I’m not a one-hit wonder; I’m here to be the new Kanye, the new Kendrick, the new Cole.” To stay updated on his musical journey, follow AntoneNow on all platforms under @antonenow or visit https://linktr.ee/antonenow.
