Ice Spice unleashes debut album “Y2K”

Ice Spice has officially entered her “Y2K” era.

Ice Spice has made her official debut with the release of her highly anticipated album, “Y2K.” Since her 2022 debut, Ice Spice quickly catapulted to extreme success all while becoming one of rap’s most popular artists. The following year, she released her EP “Like..?,” which peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The project produced singles such as “Munch (Feelin’ U), “Deli” and “Princess Diana” which was later remixed featuring Nicki Minaj. This year, Ice Spice has gotten the ball rolling as she ushered in her new “Y2K” era.

Furthermore, the album’s tittle “Y2K” is a widely known acronym for the year 2000. Additionally, it references her birth origins as she was born on the very first day of the year 2000. Throughout the project, Ice noticeably turns up the heat with her cocky yet confident lyricism. The album is executively produced by both her and her producer RiotUSA. Moreover, “Y2K” features singles such as “Phat Butt,” “Think U The Sh*t (Fart),” “Did It First featuring Central Cee,” and “Gimmie A Light,” which samples Sean Paul’s “Gimme the Light.” This project also includes features from artists such as Travis Scott, Gunna, and Central Cee. Fans react to Y2K by Ice Spice

Moreover, fans immediately began to react to Ice Spice’s debut album. Although this project received high anticipation, fans have given very mixed reactions to the project. One X, formerly known as Twitter, user wrote “yeah ice spice album might b the worst album of the decade she tried to be different but she sounded uncomfortable.” On the opposing side, another twitter user wrote “I like Ice Spice’s album! And “Popa” is fire” with a crying emoji. She also received critics on the length of the album being only 23 minutes long. Nonetheless, “Y2K” has been up for debate on it’s release date.
