As music continues to remain a safe haven for consumers, many take it a step forward to pursue it by becoming a musician. Emerging Zimbabwean singer, St. Viktor experienced this feeling at a very young age. As a shy he strived to be heard all while discovering entertainment was his passion. With mixed interests in acting, music, and animation, he found which one stood out the most. After discovering his singing ability, this is where he knew he would soon pursue music. “I started writing and performing songs. It was therapeutic, and made me feel truly alive,” he said.
Throughout his career, St. Viktor has been heavily influenced by Bruno Mars. Some of his current favorite artists include J.Cole, Victoria Monét, and Arya Starr. St. Viktor is intentional with his craft
Moreover, the single “In & Out” is St. Viktor’s first public release. While his craft is important, the song took him several years to create before its release in 2020. “In & Out,” holds a special place in my heart. It took my producer and me four years to perfect,” he said. “We, both classically trained musicians, merged our classical roots with a modern touch, he added. The song hold a direct spotlight on his vocal ability along with fresh elements of storytelling. “My lyrics are like mini-movies, pulling emotions out of you. Throw in some killer vocals, and you’ve got a song that’s not just a listen but a full-on experience,”he revealed. While his discography is loaded, he believes this song showcases his broad talent.
Furthermore, St.Victor aims to tell stories in his music through dialogue between himself and his listeners. “I want my music to feel like a conversation with the listener, a gateway to a shared relationship. I write to express my emotions, creating a two-way street,” he said. As he believes this is a reflection of his artistry, he hopes to remain relatable among his listeners.
