Interview: Meet Baby Breeze, an upcoming producer who’s here to change the game

What city are you from/ Where are you based now? I’m from Charleston, SC. That’s where I’m currently located at the moment.
What is your artist name? What is your real name? How did you get your artist name? My producer name is Baby Breeze. Real name is Stephen. I got my producer name from my father, his name is Savannah Breeze.
At what point in your life did you decide to pursue a career in music? I have always did music since I was eight years old. I always know what I wanted to do sense I was that age and never turned back.
Has your upbringing played a role in shaping who you are and defining your sound today? If so, how? I’ve seen a lot, did a lot and been through a lot. My upbringing definitely carved my sound. I have an older brother who was on all the new music and he helped me shape my sound also.
How would you describe your sound to readers who may not be familiar with you? I have and Charleston/ New Orleans bounce sound. I also have Crunk and pain in my sound also.
What ultimately inspired you to dedicate yourself to a music career? It just was something that I always loved to do. Ever since my mother bought me my first keyboard I feel in love with music.
What’s one reason you are passionate about music and what inspires you? It’s just in my blood. A lot of my family does music or dance. I was inspired by producers like Mannie Fresh, Dj Paul and Juicy J. I’m also inspired by good vibes and other dope music.
Do you have any hobbies outside of music? What do you do to stay creative? When I’m not doing music I spend time with my family. My kids keep me motivated on another level. I get creative from all types of things. I could hear a weird noise and make a beat out of it. My brain is always on go when it comes to that.
Who are some of your main musical influences? Mannie Fresh, DJ Paul, Juicy J, South side, Metro Boomin, Drumma boy and myself.
What are some of your music career goals for the future? Doing compilation CD, beat tapes and getting a Drake placement.
Tell us the name of the project you are currently promoting?What inspired this project? I am working on a lot of different artist projects.
Date that this project dropped or is set to drop? IIt’s a lot of different dates. Stay tapped in with me plenty work on the way.
What is this project about in your own words? All of the projects I’m working on is about doing what we love.
Is there a specific song on this project that speaks to you most? If so, what’s it called and what’s it about? It’s so many songs I don’t have a specific one at the moment.
What’s one of your most proud moments of your music career so far? When I got the placement with BRS Kash & Mulatto this year it was a proud moment for my career.
What’s next for you? Are you working on any upcoming projects we should be on the lookout for? Include some dates if you have them. More work with Kash, Black circle, Badda TD and many more. Don’t have the release dates yet tho.
What message do you hope fans take away from your music and from this project? That anything is possible!
