Born and raised in Memphis Tripstar respected the grind to get his way to the top. From dropping out of high school at 15 to creating raps at a young age while trying to survive the hardships he faced, Tripstar’s determination is quite admirable. Signed to Moneybagg Yo’s label Bread Gang ENT, Tripstar is next up and has a lot to prove. In a recent interview with Remixd Magazine, the artist discusses his journey and what’s next for him in the future.
With heavy influences surrounding around Tripstar’s upbringing in South Memphis, Tripstar never hesitates to keep it real. Tripstar got his career-changing moment when he got connected with Moneybagg Yo back in 2015. He explains in the interview that linking up with Moneybagg was “nothing short of necessary”, he explains:
“We used to go to the same studio. I watched him grow.” As he reflected on his early career he also celebrated big wins such as his feature on single “Blitz” with Moneybagg Yo getting featured in Madden, and his track “Top Dolla” with rapper EST Gee and Moneybagg Yo just hitting 1.1 million streams on Spotify.
He has collaborated already with artists such as Yo Gotti, EST Gee, Moneybagg Yo, Tay Kieth and more. His passion and inspiration stems from growing up around relatives who were performers and being in the church choir.
