“The fact I’ve made it this far is a miracle,” Fa$T Life said. “I’ve got a lot to say.”
Fa$t Life is the definition of a go-getter! The Los Angeles-based rapper was born in Detroit, Michigan but raised in Pomona and believes that if you work hard, it will pay off. Of course, he didn’t get his stage name for no reason, Fa$t Life says, “I got that name from how quick I bounce back if I ever fall off.”

Can you write, produce and engineer all your own music? I write my own music. I save the producing and engineering for the professionals.
When did you start doing music? And when did you start taking it seriously? I’ve always rapped. My brother and I would freestyle with each other as kids at like nine and 11 years old. I used to battle rap between classes at school. I never took rap serious because I was too focused on right now money and knew that there are plenty of potential rappers, I never thought I could make it. But when I linked up with Doughsoofficial and Darek Mob they opened my eyes to what it takes to go from knowing how to rap to actually becoming a rapper.
When did you record your first record? I recorded my first record when I was 16 and dropped it on SoundClick. At the time I shared it with The Game’s fanbase on a forum on theblackwallstreet.com. I got positive feedback and motivation but by the time I turned 18 and had to pay my own rent, real life took priority.
Why did you choose a career in music?I love music and the art of putting words together so that they’re catchy and rhyme. Plus I get to talk my shit. Love music.
Who/what inspires your sound/music?My inspiring artist are Gucci Mane, Eminem, Lil Wayne, 50 cent, 2pac, Cassidy, Kurupt Gotti, all the real rappers who really live what they rap I can support.
In your opinion, what makes you stand out from other artists? My story and my background is a movie. The fact I’ve made it this far is a miracle. I’ve got a lot to say.
