James Artissen blends R&B and dance vibes on new track “One More Thing”

James Artissen

Queens, New York native James Artissen (@jamesartissen) is no stranger to the music game. After over a decade of making hits, he’s back with a fresh new single called “One More Thing.” It’s a funky, dance-ready track in collaboration with ‘90s house legend Robin S. The song is made for the club, blending electronic and R&B sounds in a way that only James can pull off.

Currently based in Atlanta, Artissen describes his style as “Progressive R&B and Pop,” meaning he’s not afraid to mix genres and push boundaries.

“My music can be a mixture of styles,” James Artissen says during an interview with Remixd Magazine. “I feel I am seasoned, and the best at my craft.” It’s a bold statement, but one that makes sense once you hear his latest track.

“One More Thing” is about not wasting time

Sure, “One More Thing” is a party song, but it’s also more than that. It’s about love, honesty, and not wasting time.

“It’s about love and peace, but giving the option to someone to not waste your time in love,” James Artissen explains. That balance of deep meaning and good vibes is exactly what makes his music stand out.

Moreover, James Artissen says that his influences include legends. A Tribe Called Quest, Whodini, Pharrell, and Kanye West, to name a few, show up in his sound.

“I remember going to record stores every weekend to buy a new album and read the credits,” he says. That early love for music still drives him today.

Thus, with big collabs already under his belt, like “All Night” with Khujo Goodie, he is now focused on his debut album Nevermind What They Said.

“I want people to know I’m a real and pure artist who stays true to his craft,” he says.

Stay tuned for what’s next forJames Artissen. If “One More Thing” is any sign of what’s coming, his moment is just getting started.
