“Drill Beats & Melodies” is the latest release from Broward County’s Kendog917, and it offers up exactly what it says it is. Impressive drill production with a new age twist, and unheard melodies strung together by one of Florida’s top prospects in the rap game. The project was accompanied by a music video for the song “Again” which was directed by IKeyTV, and features Kendog posted up at a pool party with his clique. “Again” is a song about wanting to ‘run it back’ with a girl, while expressing that he’s crazy with out her.
With each release, Kendog’s lyrical and melodic abilities show signs of improvement, and he shows this on every track throughout Drill Beats & Melodies. “Hunnid Degrees” is a prime example of Kendog’s growth, he’s able to spit meaningful bars while playing with the beat and becoming one with the production. The project in my books is a 10/10, if you’re into drill music Kendog combines hard hitting drill production with emotion a little bit of Florida flow, once you hear it you’ll love it.
