Kodak Black & Chance the Rapper link up on new single “Still Get Chanel”

Kodak Black

Kodak Black is back with a new collaboration, and he brought Chance the Rapper along for the ride. Their latest joint single, “Still Get Chanel,” is a soulful yet playful love track that finds both artists flexing their softer side while keeping the charisma that made fans fall in love with them in the first place.

Produced by Kodak’s longtime collaborator Dr. Zeus, the track blends twinkling piano keys with heavy drums. It creates the perfect backdrop for Kodak to get surprisingly vulnerable. He opens the song reflecting on heartbreak with his signature raw delivery. “I was all f—– up, I was down as f— / Like the grass stop growin’, the wind stop blowin’…” — but even in emotional collapse, he admits he’s still spoiling his girl with Chanel and chocolate.

Chance slides in with his own verse. He balances clever wordplay with sincerity, praising the kind of love that deserves Rodeo Drive trips and reassurance. While this may seem like an unexpected collab, if you recall, the two linked up before this. It’s a fun reminder of the chemistry the two first showed years ago on 2 Chainz’s “I’m Not Crazy, Life Is” (2017).

Alongside the single, Kodak officially announced his next studio album Just Getting Started, dropping Halloween (October 31). If this single is any indication of what to expect from new Kodak, then listeners are definitely in for a treat. Chance The Rapper, of course, is coming off the release of his long-awaited second album, STAR LINE. The album got a great response.

Meanwhile Kodak Black continues his prolific streak both in the studio and around the communities he grew up in.
