Florida rapper Kodak Black is the latest in a string of rappers to endorse Donald Trump for a second term as president. The 10+ time RIAA platinum-selling emcee took to Twitter and stated that he supported Trump’s “Platinum Plan,” a program aimed to boost economic growth in Black communities, among other things. However, Kodak is far from the only rapper to support the 45th president’s re-election.
Lil Wayne met with President Trump on October 30th and also endorsed the “Platinum Plan.” Weezy took to Twitter, saying “the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”
Fellow Floridian Lil Pump and “Candy Shop” rapper 50 Cent are also among the celebrity rappers who have taken to social media recently to show their support for Trump. Both rappers’ public endorsements of Trump began after democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden unveiled a tax plan that will raise taxes for those making above $400k a year.
Election day this year is Tuesday, November 3.
