KXLLSWXTCH pushes his sound to the edge on ‘EYESORE’

kxllswxtch

KXLLSWXTCH has spent the past few years quietly becoming one of the underground’s most volatile and compelling voices. The musician emerged with 2020’s KILL! and sharpened his profile on 2021’s DISORDER. This project helped establish his reputation for high-energy delivery, screaming vocals, and horror-leaning visuals. Blending emo, alternative rock, and heavy metal rap, his music has resisted neat classification, earning him more than 30 million streams and a loyal fanbase drawn to his sonic aggression.

On EYESORE, that intensity is turned inward. The project was written during a period of mounting stress and emotional overload. Moreover, the album captures KXLLSWXTCH (@kxllswxtch) operating without safety rails. The title suggests confrontation, but the record’s power comes from its vulnerability as much as its violence. Tracks like “RAGE QUIT” burn with unchecked fury, while “BREAK” slows the momentum to expose the quiet pressure of holding everything together while quietly unraveling. Rather than smoothing those contrasts into cohesion, the album allows them to collide, reflecting the instability of the headspace that produced it.

The Meaning Behind ‘EYESORE’

Speaking to Remixd Magazine, KXLLSWXTCH says that EYESORE is about feeling like he sticks out in the worst way possible.

“The feeling of not belonging anywhere,” he explains. Hence the different emotions and styles throughout the project such as anger and sorrow.

Sonically, EYESORE also signals a shift in leadership. For the first time, KXLLSWXTCH steps fully into production, shaping the album’s textures himself. The result feels intentionally abrasive and stripped back, reconnecting with the reckless energy of his early work while sharpening its emotional focus. The beats leave space for tension to breathe, letting his vocals swing between confrontation and collapse without interruption.

Where previous releases hinted at range, EYESORE commits to exposure. It is not an album searching for closure or clarity, but one content to sit inside contradiction. In doing so, KXLLSWXTCH continues to solidify his place within a new generation of artists who treat emotional extremity not as spectacle, but as substance.
