Based in Los Angeles, LOVE LIGHTS DRIVING (@lovelightsdriving) consists of members Nathan Reyes, Diego Briones, Joshua Kindla, and Ernie Montaño. Their band name emerged from a stream-of-consciousness idea during one of their abstract and profound conversations late at night, a testament to their creative process.
Describing their sound to Remixd Magazine, Nathan explains, “From a sonic lens, I would chop it up to a combination of truly organic sonic material mixed with excessively processed samples. From a musical lens, I think most of our tracks demonstrate Diego’s and I’s rhythmic vocabulary and our passion for beat-oriented pop songs.”
Passion for music drives LOVE LIGHTS DRIVING, as they are inspired by the concept of creating “time capsules” through their records. They believe that each record represents a snapshot of the person they are during that specific period. Years later, they revisit these records to observe their growth and evolution, which serves as a constant source of inspiration.
