Maino, Fabolous, and Stuy Babyz’s O-Wave and Yellow Zoo give their flowers to a woman who has it going on in “Best For Me.” The chorus is inspired by T-Pain’s verse in 2 Pistol’s “She Got It.” This line in question goes, “She knows she got it, and she lookin’ at me like she want it.“
In “Best For Me,” the rap veterans Maino and Fabolous spit effortlessly over an acoustic guitar-kissed R&B beat while Stuy Babyz delivers the refrain in a smooth vocal range. Lyrically, both MCs compliment their lady for her work ethic, saying, “shawty ’bout her business/ shawty got her own bag/look at shawty get it.” They also take time to admire her beauty, aura, and overall open-mindedness. But, most importantly, they can’t help but admire how she goes after what she wants. They intend to show how much they love this lady by giving her the world and then some. Or as O-Wave sings, |“Van Cleef her wrist and I put double C on her.”
The visual, created by StreetHeat’s WillC and Tana, shows Stuy Babyz accompanied by a few bonafide baddies. Maino and Fabolous show off their love interests and overall swagger by donning the flyest attire. Fans from all over showed their support by throwing a line of emojis or a round of applause for Brooklyn. “Brooklyn, stand up. Bedstuy mercy. We blessed,” one user wrote.
In 2022, Maino and Jim Jones dropped their collaborative project, The Lobby Boyz. The 15-track LP features Benny The Butcher, Fivio Foreign, Bleu, Capella Grey, Young M.A, Dave East, and more. Two years before this, Maino dropped a project of his own called Die A Legend in 2020.
Fabolous, on the other hand, just recently dropped the third installment of his Summertime Shootout album. He’s also kept the momentum high by dropping frequent collaborations and singles.
