Manny Omega recently released a music video for his single, “MISFIT.” He puts his twist on the underground sound of today. In the song, he explains that he is unlike the rest. He has come up from the gutter and uses this song to show people that he has learned from his past and only plans on going up from here on out.
The music video was beautifully shot by Chris Joel, and Manny Omega puts on a stellar performance. Right off the bat, the listener can tell that this high-synth, lead-heavy song will be hard. Manny Omega makes his intimidating presence known right off the bat in the first drop, but he also does so in the first few frames of the video. The artist chose to shoot the footage primarily in a parking garage and capture plenty of artsy shots. Still, Manny Omega shows people that he is a person not to be messed with. He has pushed himself to the limit to get to the point he’s at today, and he’ll continue to make himself reach new heights.
“MISFIT” is your typical underground beat, but Manny Omega brings his uniqueness to the table. Nowadays, many artists are adding a Destroy Lonely-Esque raspiness to their vocal preset and falling under the category of copycats. Instead, Manny Omega strays away from using autotune, which changes the sound of his voice. His authenticity is what makes this song so great. He wasn’t afraid to step up to the mic and show people what the real him sounded like. His confidence shines through brightly both in the song and performance of this song and what makes Manny Omega an artist to keep your eye on.
