On the second to last episode of Starz’s, P-Valley, Megan Thee Stallion makes her way on down to The Pynk as her alter ego, Tina Snow. She takes to her social media account as she announces, “They done brought Tina Snow to THEE MF PYNKKKKKK.”
Tina Snow is an alter ego Megan Thee Stallion named herself inspired by the late fellow Texas rapper, Pimp C’s alter ego, Tony Snow. Megan Thee Stallion has mentioned on occasions how Pimp C is one of her biggest musical influences. “Tina is the raw version of Megan, she just don’t give a damn”, she explained to Vibe in 2018. Tina Snow’s vibe was fitting for the show.
In the episode titled “Snow,” the Houston rapper makes her debut grand entrance on to the scene alongside Lil Murda (played by J. Alphonse Nicholson) dripped in an all white bedazzled set, white fur, and her signature platinum blonde wig for the Chucalissa strip club’s “re-re-reeee opening” (word to Uncle Clifford). Show’s creator, Katori Hall, tweets, “1st stop of Tina Snow’s ‘Hoes Up Gs Down Tour’ is the Pynk, bih! BIG Murda bringing Ms. Snow down to the valley will be the stuff of Chucalissa legend! The tour title is a subversion of ‘Pimps Up, Hoes Down’ as we explore pimp culture in all its complexities.” Hall has mentioned wanting to have Megan Thee Stallion on the show from the beginning. She states to Entertainment Tonight, ” We have been wanting her to be on the show, whether it was as a rapper, as an actress, from season one.”
In addition to making her guest appearance, Megan Thee Stallion wrote and recorded “Get it on the Floor” for for the show. Tina Snow performs the song on The Pynk’s stage alongside Lil Murder.
