Mike Lubino (@mike_lubino) is an artist who knows how to mix rhythm with meaning. Originally from Paris and now based in the south of France, Lubino carries Caribbean roots that shine through in his sound. His music blends Afrobeat, R&B, Urban Pop, and Gospel, but what makes it special is the intention behind it. “My music is all about making people dance while touching their soul with melodies and messages of hope,” he explains to Remixd Magazine.
Lubino’s recent single, “We Taking Over,” ft. Shydeeh is a perfect example of that mission. The music video takes the song to the next level and adds as a compliment to the already-infectious single.
Next, Mike Lubino is gearing up to release a new single called “Na You.” What started as a quick Instagram snippet turned into one of his most-anticipated tracks yet. Fans loved the preview so much that it pushed him to move forward with an official release, planned for October.
“’Na You’” is a deeply spiritual and romantic track,” he says. “It’s like a dialogue between my soul and the unseen hearing a call, a voice that guides me. It’s about a love that uplifts, that turns pain into hope, and that stays with you even in the darkest moments. Musically, it’s a mix of Afrobeat rhythms with a dreamy, floating vibe. It’s both a love letter and a spiritual moment, celebrating the person who inspires me and brings me back into the light.”
What’s Next For Mike Lubino
It’s a mix of sounds that mirrors Lubino’s influences, from the global sounds of Burna Boy and Wizkid to the emotional depth of Omah Lay and Tems. “I admire their stage presence and the way they stay true to themselves,” he adds.
But for Lubino, music isn’t just about sound, it’s about connection. “Music is my passion because it allows me to express what words alone can’t,” he says. “It’s my way of bringing people light and motivating them to keep moving forward.”
Looking ahead, Lubino is preparing his first EP, recorded at LRY Records with international artist KwartenG. He promises the project will surprise fans with its diversity and energy. At the heart of it all, though, his message stays the same: “Even when life feels dark, there’s always light and a guiding force to help you move forward.”
