The first round of new heat will be in the form of Gunplay’s up and coming album “All Bullshit Aside”. Not new to the late-night recording studio sessions, 15 year old Gunplay’s lyrical wordplay caught the attention of Florida’s big boss Rick Ross and was signed to Maybach Music Group as part of the group “Triple C’s”, which released their debut album in 2009. Like a bullet exploding from the chamber, Gunplay has been pinpointed on every move. The dread head rapper sipped champagned with Rick ROSS and all along planning his solo career, which took Gunplay to do just that with one of the greatest and prestigious hip-hop labels of all time, Def Jam Recordings. He came fully strapped into this deal with enough songs to release several mixtapes before dropping his official solo album “Living Legend”.
Gunplay is fully entrenched in this business from touring with artists such as Rick Ross and Waka Flocka. When his music easily surpasses over 2 million in a combined 80 plus countries, loading up that tour bus just makes sense. Ghost-writing for other artists and getting on tracks with many hip-hop legends such as A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, Boosie Badazz, and many others, Gunplay is realizing his potential can truly be unlimited within the industry and the next steps are switching up the game for him.
Without the dreads, without the negative aspects of the business, Gunplay is laser-focused on all of his goals. The new album will be released on his own label “Animal Shelter” in a joint deal with Empire and Sparta record labels. Not wasting any time his label already has 9 signed artists. Along with the record label, Gunplay will also be venturing into the field of acting in TV shows and movies.
