Last week Moses Mosima shared his “Cul De Sac Interlude,” where a claymation version of himself is seen cruising on a bike. “It sets the tone for the world of Cul De Sac. It’s an official welcome to the sounds and sights of the neighborhood,” Moses Mosima commented.
After working on this body of work for some years, the Philadelphia native and Highest Basement Collective founder is preparing for the release of his Cul De Sac album.
Today, the genre-blending artist returns with his first single off the album in the form of the self-produced single, “Pretty.” Directed by Riley of HBC and Mosima himself, the visual finds the heartening vocalist stepping away from his signature bike to sing candidly about depression and self-loathing behavior.
Encouraging listeners to find a smile even through the hard times and fight their fears, Moses had this to say about the single in an Instagram post:
“Pretty is about self acceptance. Loving the parts of yourself that aren’t easy to know.”
