On Tuesday, June 24, MusiCares is bringing its Humans of Hip Hop (H3) initiative back to Los Angeles for a full day of free health and wellness services. Specifically for the people who keep hip hop alive, both on stage and behind the scenes. Taking place from 12PM to 5PM at the Recording Academy HQ in Santa Monica, the event is open to music professionals with 5+ years in the industry or 6+ released credits, and best of all—it’s completely free. Be sure to RSVP HERE.
Backed by Vivid Seats and Amazon Music, the clinic offers an impressive lineup of wellness resources, including vision and dental screenings, custom ear molds, massage and physical therapy, mental health support, and more. A highlight of the day is a financial wellness workshop led by entertainment executive and celebrity financial expert Dr. Lynn Richardson, focused on empowering creatives to take control of their money and future.
MusiCares’ Humans of Hip Hop has made waves in cities like Atlanta, Detroit, and New York. Bringing essential care to the artists, engineers, producers, and crew members who often go overlooked. Moreover, past supporters include big names like Saweetie, Killer Mike, MC Lyte, Lupe Fiasco, and Common, all helping spread the word: music professionals deserve support too.
This isn’t just a one-day event, it’s part of a larger commitment from MusiCares to be the safety net for music industry workers, offering everything from crisis grants to long-term wellness care. Whether you’re an indie producer, a touring DJ, or a studio engineer, H3 is about showing up for the people behind the culture.
