Recording artist, NAIIM, releases a new single titled, “Dusty Winds”, produced by Shaz. NAIIM is a Montreal native, Toronto based artist best known for his collaborated single, “Dark Side,” with fellow recording artist Wake The Wild, which has garnered over almost 1 million streams to date since its release during COVID, as well as his single, “No Peace.”
“I’d describe my sound as genre bending and versatile,” he tells RemixdMag. “I believe that as artists it’s important to play and experiment in whatever medium you dabble in. We as humans aren’t unidimensional so why should our means of expressions be? If I was to place myself in a category or compare myself to any artists, I’d describe it as a mixture of Drake, Tory Lanez and possibly Guapdad4000.”
His music has also been featured on Spotify’s Northern Bars, Shisha Lounge as well as Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlists. The latest track, called “Dusty Winds,” is a statement piece that embodies the feeling of invincibility. In its purest form it’s about winning with the team.
“I wanted to create something that could lift me up in a sense,” he said. “The song itself is a positive affirmation, from the intensity of the production down to the lyrics of the song. And I hope it can do for others what it does for me, which is quite literally boost my morale and confidence.”
