New Music Friday: The best new music featuring Glorilla, Joji/Yeat, Lil Baby, and more

The best new music from the week of December 5th!

It’s New Music Friday! Suddenly, December has arrived and you can literally feel the pressure from artists to end the year with a bang. After all, they do say pressure makes diamonds, and there definitely seems to be a lot of diamonds in the rough based on the new releases. This week’s edition of N.M.F. features standout releases from Glorilla, Joji, Lil Baby, and many more. Read on to find the latest tracks and albums that dropped this week.

New Music Friday Picks

Glorilla – “MARCH/Special”

Certainly, there needs to be a study on the insane run that Glorilla is having. In hopes of finishing strong, she recently released two songs that cater to both of her different audiences. Above all, her ability to be likable and continuously have good energy will carry over into 2026.

Joji – “PIXELATED KISSES” (Remix) ft Yeat

Generally, a lot of remixes of hit songs fall flat as they fail to recapture the original magic. This certainly seems to be the case for Joji’s “PIXELATED KISSES,” as the song ends up disjointed and messy. On paper, this seems like a duo that should work, but it’s extremely clear they have never been to a studio together and lack the proper chemistry.

Lil Baby – ‘The Leaks’ (Album)

All things considered, Lil Baby understands that the general public has turned on him and had to deliver some of his best work. In this case, he exactly gave the fans what they wanted by releasing all of his highly anticipated singles. Overall, the end result is a good listen and a good stepping stone for him to build off of for a true comeback.

Female Fetales

SAILORR – ‘FROM FLORIDA’S FINEST DELU/XXX [for my delusional ex]’ (Album)

As a result of beating the culture vulture allegations, SAILORR has been on a roll musically. As a matter of fact, she strategically expanded on the world she built with her newly released deluxe album. Undoubtedly, she showed signs of being a generational talent, if she continues to make strides like she’s done.

Maiya The Don – “Miss Irresponsible”

Admittedly, NY’s Maiya The Don has somewhat fallen into the cracks after bursting onto the scene. Although this may be true, “Miss Irresponsible” has the potential to go viral and put her back on the map. The way that she effortlessly flows makes this song an instant banger.

Rapper’s Delight

HoodRich Pablo Juan – “For Trappers Only” ft Rx Hector

Granted that he just did five years in prison, Pablo Juan has hit the ground running hard after being released. His latest single features long-time collaborator, Rx Hector, and their chemistry has not taken a dip. In fact, their time apart has strengthened their bond as they both recapture that iconic late 2010s trap sound.

Ludacris – “44 Bars”

Weirdly enough, it’s wild how Luda has been erased from hip-hop history despite his amazing track record. At almost 50 years old, “44 Bars” makes a statement that he still has it and should be treated as a legacy act. If anything, this single makes me want a full-length album from him to see what he would sound like with more mature subject material.

Aklesso – ‘Still Lonely’ (Album)

With our last pick for N.M.F., we have a brand new album from Christian rapper, Aklesso. By far, this has to be his most vulnerable project yet as he tackles heavy topics like fatherhood and faith. It hits even more differently thanks to dope features from his peers like Lecrae & 1K Phew that help take this project to another level.

We hope you enjoyed this week’s edition of New Music Friday!
