New Music Friday Picks

Yeat- ‘Lyfestyle’ (Album) 

Kicking things off, Yeat returns with his second album this year Lyfestyle. This album comes just 8 months after the release of his highly anticipated album 2093(P2) Earlier this month, Yeat officially teased the album with the release of an official trailer. Loaded with features, this album includes appearances from artists such as Don Toliver, Lil Durk, Kodak Black and Summrs. 

J.P.- ‘School Dance’ (Album)

Viral Sensation, J.P. Gives us a look into his School Dance. The Milwaukee Singer, whom triples as a college student and athlete returns with a host of singles that further showcase reasons for his viral spree. This album includes the single “Lose” which has made waves on Tik Tok. For this project, J.P. Teams up with Babyfxce E and Baby Osamaa as features. 

Big Boogie- ‘Ether’ (Mixtape)

Memphis’s very own, Big Boogie unleashes his latest offerings Either. Fresh off the BET Hip Hop Awards stage, Big Boogie follows up with a star studded line up alongside his traditional club anthems. This project includes the viral song “BOP” featuring Glorilla. The project also includes features from YTB Fatt, 42 Dugg, Lakeyah, and Moneybagg Yo.

Benny The Butcher & 38 Spech- ‘Stabbed and Shot II’ (Album) 

Benny The Butcher rejoins forces with 38 Spech for Stabbed and Shot II. The New York heavyweights reunite after six years delivering the sequel to the original Stabbed and Shot project. Expanding the heat, Benny and 38 Spech recruit additional appearances on this project Including V Don, Harry Fraud, and Busta Rhymes to name a few. 

Moeisbetter & Ayotheproducer – ‘Moelando’ (Album) 

Orlando’s own Moeisbetter teams up with Grammy award winning producer, Ayotheproducer with a joint album Moelado. The 10-song project features the single “Add it up” where Moe showcases his fun bars over the Ayotheproducer beat. The duo put their organic chemistry on display with the release of this project. 

Ari Lennox- “Smoke”

Ari Lennox delivers relatability throughout her latest single “Smoke.” The Dreamville songstress utilizes her sultry yet soulful vocals while storytelling. Throughout the single, Ari keeps it straightforward while urging the subject matter not to try her. 

Jordan Adetunji feat. Lil Baby -“Options”

Viral single, Jordan Adetunji  teams up with Lil Baby while sharing “Options.” Through the song, Jordan shares with a lover that he’s the one although they both have multiple people to choose from. Lil Baby’s verse blends with Jordan’s vocals seamlessly throughout the track. This release is accompanied by a compelling visual which puts the essence of having options on display. 

idk. featuring Thearti$t – “Supernova ” 

Ahead of the release of his upcoming album BRAVADO +INTiMO, idk. Taps into his venerability with “Supernova.” idk. sets rap aside for this record while showcasing his smooth vocals over a Jazz inspired beat. For this single, idk. duets with Thearti$t taking listeners on a love whirlwind. This single further highlights idk.’s versatility. 

Coco Jones featuring Future & London On Da Track-  Most Beautiful Design

Coco Jones taps in with Future for “Most Beautiful Design.” The London On Da Track produced single entails of Coco’s rich vocals   In conjunction with Future’s monotoned flow. Throughout the song the message remains both sweet and stagnant as future gushes over his love interest. Coco comes in highlighting the essence of love and perseverance throughout it. 

Fivio Foreign- “Living Legend”

Fivio Foreign shares self boasting anthem “Living Legend.” The Brooklyn drill rapper reflects on his influential career throughout the song as he has become a stable to the sub genre over the years. Additionally, the single includes a visual showcasing the dapper side of Fivio rapping in front of a wedding party.
