New Music Friday: The best new music, featuring Tyler the Creator, Kodak Black, K CAMP, and more

The best new music from the week of July 24th!

It’s New Music Friday! Summer is slowly but surely coming to an end. Regardless of the season, there will always be some new music to vibe to. This week’s edition features standout releases from Tyler the Creator, Kodak Black, K Camp, and many more. Read on to find the latest tracks and albums that dropped this week.

New Music Friday Picks

Tyler the Creator – ‘DON’T TAP THE GLASS’ (Album)

In an effort to make people dance again, Tyler’s surprise album successfully brought back that missing feeling. Sonically, he revisits some of his older concepts and creatively builds upon them. Sadly, this album doesn’t remotely compare to any of his past work. But luckily it doesn’t take away from the fun vibes it provides for the summer.

Kodak Black – “By Myself” ft DJ E Money & G6reddot

It’s easy to be caught completely off guard by Kodak Black’s new single, “By Myself.” Inspired by one of Ne-Yo’s biggest hits, Kodak is tasked with tapping into his R&B bag. While he may hit the same notes as Ne-Yo, he does bring that same raw pain into his verse.

K CAMP – “Your Type” ft Qiuntellii

The first single off of K CAMP’s upcoming album is finally here! Truly a man of the people, he rewinds the clock and goes all in on his iconic R&B sound. But this time he brings along rising star, Qiuntellii who matches his vulnerability and helps complete this track.

Rapper’s Delight

Hit-Boy – “What’s the Deal”

Today, there are only a handful of producers who can actually rap, and Hit-Boy is at the top of the list. His new single has him wearing both hats as a producer/rapper, as he celebrates his newfound freedom as an entirely independent artist. This moment of liberation propels Hit-Boy to remind the world that there’s no ceiling to his creativity.

Lupe Fiasco – “SOS”

Despite being older in age, Lupe Fiasco has shown that he is still as sharp as ever in his new release. The jazz-inspired production sparks a creative fire in him and perfectly complements his poetic flow.

Kurupt – “Special” ft JANE HANDCOCK & Blaqthoven

Contrary to popular belief, the hip-hop sub-genre, G-funk is still alive thanks to West Coast veteran lyricist, Kurupt. On “Special,” he is joined by his Death Row labelmate, JANE HANDCOCK and they are able to channel pure nostalgia. There’s no one who could’ve predicted the epic comeback that Death Row has made in 2025.

Neila – “Wild”

Making her second appearance on New Music Friday, ATL-based artist, Neila is back with a polarizing new single. As with most of her releases, “Wild” packs a powerful message regarding having bulletproof confidence. Musically, her intoxicating energy lures you in as this track is packed with a lot of replay value.

Low.bō – “blur”

LVRN is home to a plethora of R&B stars and their newest signee, Low.bō falls right in line to what they’re building. “blur” continues on the momentum of “FALLOUT” showing that he is far from a one-trick pony. His raw R&B storytelling is put on the forefront as he paints a vivid picture of his love life.

We hope you enjoyed this week’s edition of New Music Friday!
