On The Radar CEO, Gabe P reveals how the Drake freestyle happened; shares his reaction to his BET nomination.

Gabe P opens up about viral moments featured on his “On The Radar” platform.

Media Personality, Gabe P has continuously affirmed his stamp within the media industry. The 28-year old on-air personality, artist manager, and most notably CEO of the popular platform “On The Radar,” balances it all. Last week, he did a sit down interview with Elliott Wilson for the latest episode of ‘Elliott Wilson Experience. Additionally he reveals more about the platform including the secrets behind the viral Drake freestyle, feelings about his BET awards nomination, and more.

Furthermore, “On The Radar” radio has provided a space for upcoming and mainstream artists to showcase their talents through performances, interviews, and freestyles. One of the platforms most viral performance featured Drake and Central Cee. Their freestyle has accumulated 17 million views on YouTube in addition to a series of viral memes. Gabe shared with Elliot how seamless Drake’s appearance on the platform came to be. “People think that it’s some real intricate thing like ‘How did you reach out?’ but it wasn’t none of that. Shout out the boy for reaching out, it was really just as simple as that,” he said. Additionally, Gabe revealed how he spoke Drake’s appearance up prior to receiving a DM from him. “Even like three weeks before that he reached out, I was doing like a panel and they were like “Who do you want to have on OTR?” And I was like Drake,” he said.

Moreover, Gabe also opened up about the recognition he’s received from his platform thus far. Notably, ‘On The Radar’ earned a spot on BET’sBest Hip-Hop Platform’ list. “I’m super grateful to be on the list this year, but I do think I should be higher than 25.” The platform also received a an official award nomination at the 2024 Bet Awards. The platform went up against platforms such as “The Breakfast Club,” “Drink Champs,”Club Shay Shay,” and more.

Although the “On The Radar” radio platform is still on the rise, Gabe P has humbly expressed his gratitude for it’s success thus far. As the platform consistently drops several artist performances per day, you can keep up with them here.
