OT Rad is someone you should keep on your radar. OT Rad recently released his debut album, “AUTORAD.” Instead, he decided not to stick with one production style on this eight-song album and showed people his versatility. “AUTORAD” features rage beats, LA-Bounce beats, jazz samples, piano trap beats, and many more. This project is something OT Rad should be very proud of, considering it the first release in his career.
The lead single of this album was “GEMERA.” This yeat-type beat opens up with a crescendo up to the drop. He saw the potential of this beat paired with his vocals and put on an outstanding performance. Both and the beat OT Rad are in the listeners’ faces trying to get them excited for the hooks, but the beat is a lot calmer for the verse. Again, this artist showed his musical knowledge by riding the frequencies of the beat perfectly throughout the entirety of the song. Ultimately, this song perfectly sets the tone for the rest of the album.
One notable song has to be the opener, “AUTOMATiC.” The beat is ethereal and makes the listener feel as though they’re at a banger of a party in the middle of our solar system. The rising rapper uses the opening song to explain to people his work ethic. He describes to listeners that he puts numerous hours into his career and that his only goal is to be number one. If he continues to perform music like “AUTORAD,” he’ll do just that. “AUTOMATiC” is an excellent song for new listeners of OT Rad because he does his best work on top of beats like this, but the rest of “AUTORAD” shows just how versatile he can be.
