After his 2019 Grammy-nominated full-length effort Daytona, we will finally get the follow-up.
Touted by broadcasters Charlemagne The God & Apple Music’s LowKey as the “Rap Album Of The Year” on different probes, the wait is over and the world will get acclimated to this body of work.
In an interview with Complex’s Speedy Norman during the latter’s 360 with Speedy Norman, the “Diet Coke” rapper intimated that the record is without a doubt his “best work ever”:
“At the end of the day, what I make is masterpieces” he said “Ain’t nobody doing what I do when it comes to street rap” he continued.
“Nobody makes better music with those two entities than with me” he declared, mentioning the record’s entire production will be under the stewardship of Ye’ and Pharrell Williams & The Neptunes.
Additionally he spoke imperatively: “There’s no better album than mine this year” doubling down on claims he made during a disrupted interview between his manager and right hand Victor Victor CEO Steven Victor & Complex had.
“The album of the muthafucking year is coming” he toot his horn “A Pusha album takes a long time … but when it comes together, ain’t nothing fucking with it”
He added, “I’m on some one thousand percent rap superhero shit, man .. You know me, I have to reinvent myself. I just have to reinvent my greatness.”
Push has already shared two singles that have equally been the cause of much rumblings online. “Diet Coke” a feverish soul-tinged rap anthem teased during the Paris Fashion Week on February and the opulent Jay-Z assisted “Neck & Wrist” produced by Neptunes lead, Pharrell.
In regards to the features, a speculated track list is floating around social media that includes his Clipse brother and sparring partner Malice, Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Ye, Lil Uzi Vert, Don Toliver & Nigo.
Artwork is understood to be conceptualized by LA based surrealist & minimalist Sterling Ruby.
Fans can also get to see The Good Music President in the flesh after he announced tour dates that spawn from late spring (May 29) to just the top of summer (Jun 23) in what he characterizes as “Phase 1” with Special Guests on the “It’s Almost Dry Tour”.
