Pusha T secures his first #1 album

Pusha T has only been getting better and better with time throughout his veteran career. His second coming as a solo artist has been one that’s successfully elevated his status and music quality. Two decades in and his full-lengths are only being met with more acclaim and fanfare than his previous efforts. With his latest album It’s Almost Dry, the Virginia maestro now scores his first #1 album.

The news comes after his latest LP sold over 55,000 units in its first week. Despite its short running time of 36 minutes, it’s still good enough to top the Billboard Top 200. It’s Almost Dry also tops the R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap album charts as well. The accomplishment may be surprising to some but the projection seemed inevitable on paper. The twelve-track project is split evenly between ‘Ye and the Neptunes being behind the boards. Once again, the Virginia rapper manages to fuse his patented cocaine bars perfectly with the top-tier production of his comrades.

Its collaboration list is impressive also, with names like Jay-Z, Don Toliver, Labrinyth, and more making appearances. The album is also home to long-awaited Clipse collaboration “I Pray For You” with his brother Malice and a Kid Cudi feature on “Rock N Roll” that’s said to be the last time Cudi will appear alongside ‘Ye. The project is well worth the anticipation as critics are already hailing it as an impressive release and some of his best work to date.

After the album’s successful run, the rap brickmason is ready to take his album on the road to city near you. This month, Pusha T will begin his multi-stop tour and will kick off his first show in Seattle on the 29th. It seems that the tour is only in its first stage, it won’t be surprising if more tour dates are added as the tour progresses. Tickets, the tour is now available on his website here.
