Don Toliver leaves listeners feeling ‘Love Sick’ with release of latest LP

R&B artist Don Toliver (@dontoliver) has hit the studio again by releasing his newest album, Love Sick. The LP is Toliver’s third studio album and features a tracklist of 16 songs.

Love Sick was released on February 24 and featured collaborations with artists such as Brent Faiyaz, Justin Beiber, Future, Wizkid, Charlie Wilson, Toro y Moi, Tisakorean, Glorilla, Lil Durk, James Blake, and Kali Uchis.

The R&B artist, in completion with the LP, released mini short films to accompany the track list with different episodes to promote each of the songs. The episodes are set in the 70s with flared suits, big gold jewelry, fur coats, and all the right vibes for listeners to leave the experience feeling lovesick. 

Review of the album

Love Sick takes listeners on the journey of being in love with hypnotic beats that lure ears in to hear more. You are entranced by the smooth harmony of Toliver’s rich lyricism. If you’re thinking about skipping through the album you might want to think again as the album is something to sit and listen to especially with a significant other.

The beats inside the album hit hard, and one can’t help but become entranced as you listen to the flow he presents within each track. 

By the middle of the track list, the tempos slow up allowing you to process the hard hits from the beginning of the album and you get hit with the right amount of feels especially with tracks, “Time Heals All”, “Leather Coat”, “Honeymoon”, “Private Landing”, and “Slow Motion”.

Many fans of the artist took to Twitter to express their love for LP with Twitter user @MDMA5G writing, “Album definitely lived up to my expectations this gonna be in rotation for a while”. Another comment from a fan on Twitter came from user @bluewarjack writing, “The album too good man damnnnnn.”
