The skyward R&B starlet lets her guard down on her steamy track “MOVIE”. The honest record sees her imagination come alive, painting a picture between two lovers secluded – making a “movie”.

Chicago native Ré Alissa has unleashed her sensual record “MOVIE,” and it definitely sets the tone for what audiences can expect from the rising artist.
The track is another magnificent performance from the LA based singer who reveals she penned the permeating lyrics on a flight to LA.
“I wrote this song on my flight over to Los Angeles when I was moving. It was so quiet and dark on the plane, and I had my air pods in and just felt like I was in my own little world and everything was still around me. So, I wrote a song about how it’d feel to share
that moment with someone else,” she told Remixd Mag exclusively of the creation process.
The R&B purveyor doesn’t let up on her latest release, furthering her gradual ascent in the R&B fold. The record speaks to two lovers veering away from the contemporary lifestyle and dedicating time to themselves to explore themselves intimately, sexually, and divinely.
“The song is about these 2 people that go on a long, late night car ride,” she continues to explain. “The entire time it’s just them and their phones, and they have this intense romantic, sexual tension that both are too afraid to speak on out loud. So, they go on this adventure in the middle of the night and decide to make a ‘MOVIE.'”
The single was produced by Nathan Blub, Kenny Flowers and Chef Lanre, and again reflects the multi instrumentalist and vocalist’s adroit prowess as far as melodies, range, and cadences go that she so diligently exhibited on her April single, “F.O.O.L.”
As far as what’s next, Ré has also revealed a special Christmas performance is on the way. She promises more music is definitely in the dungeon as she gets ready to bless her legion of fans with new sounds.
“Right now, I’m really trying to focus on branding myself as an artist and expanding my
audience,” she says. “I want to be heard by people—the more the better of course. Therefore, for these next few months I’ll be focused on putting out really dope singles and visuals with some good marketing and promotion behind them. However, with the holidays coming up, I’ll first be working on a special Christmas performance that’ll release in December.”
