Sade Fatima reclaims her focus with emotional new project “Time”

Sade Fatima

Brooklyn-born and Harlem-based artist Sade Fatima (@sadefatimabeenit_) is turning up the notch with her deeply emotional and melodic sound. Known for channeling personal hardships into her music, Sade describes how it helped her through her most challenging moments, offering comfort and hope when she felt lost. “Music was there during my hardest times and made me realize I wasn’t alone,” she tells Remixd Magazine. Thus, highlighting the emotional connection that drives her work.

Sade’s sound is influenced by powerhouse vocalists like Ashanti, Alicia Keys, Jasmine Sullivan, and Keyshia Cole, with a soulful blend that resonates with listeners. Her latest project, “Time,” embodies the sense of urgency she feels in her career and life.

“I felt like I wasted so much time focused on other things,” Sade explains. Moreover, she compares her journey to Jasmine Sullivan’s sentiment of “reclaiming my time.” The release is an exploration of the importance of time, its value, and how we often take it for granted.
