Sexyy Red shuts down tour cancellation rumors amidst low ticket sales speculation

Sexyy Red

Sexyy Red, who proclaimed herself as the Ghetto Princess, is preparing for her second headline tour. However, according to some sources, it’s not going as well as fans had expected. But, Sexyy took to Twitter to shut down the rumors.

Sexyy Red has been one of those hip hop artists who really climbed the ranks quickly. With over five million followers on Instagram and similarly impressive stats on other social media platforms. Even though her self-released mixtape, Ghetto Superstar, didn’t hit the charts, her latest In Sexyy We Trust mixtape did. That project quickly jumped to number five on the US Rap and US R&B/Hip Hop charts.

Sexyy Red had her first headline tour, named “Hood Hottest Princess Tour,” back in 2023, where she appeared at 20 different venues across the United States.

The show did great and even led to Rubi Rose hosting an after-party for the Hood Hottest Princess Tour.

Fans were excited to hear about her latest 2024 show, which she announced recently on the 26th of June 2024. The tour is named “Sexyy Red 4 President Tour” and will host several supporting artists, including BlakelANA, Loe Shimmy, and Hunxho.

The tour will kick off on the 22nd of August in Seattle and go on until October 1, where she will end the show in Nashville.

Sexyy Red denies any cancellations

With the level of fame that Sexyy Red had built up over the last few years, fans were expecting the show to sell out soon after the tickets became available. However, to the shocking surprise of her fans, this wasn’t the case.

Even though tickets are reasonably priced, the sales figures for the Sexyy Red 4 President Tour is much lower than what many expected them to be.

The Art of Dialogue reported on 8 July that ticket sales are at 37.11%. With 85,217 tickets available, this is a reportedly low number of ticket sales, considering the fact that they’ve been available for over a week already.

Sexyy Red did reply to this backslash, stating that everything’s fine, fans are still continuing to buy tickets, and that the show will go on as expected.

What are your thoughts? Did you get your tickets? Do you think the show is on the verge of being canceled?
