Shoreline Mafia is ‘Back In Bidness’ with latest album after 5-year hiatus

Shoreline Mafia

Shoreline Mafia is officially Back In Bidness. After a five-year hiatus, the West Coast rap collective has returned with a brand-new album that marks their first full-length release since 2020’s Mafia Bidness. Led by core members OhGeesy and Fenix Flexin, the new project is a 16-track, 42-minute reintroduction to the group’s signature dark, ratchet sound—revitalized for a new era. With production credits from heavy-hitters like DJ Snake, Diego Ave, Bruce24k, DJ Paul, AceTheFace, and more, Back In Bidness brings the energy and grit that first put Shoreline on the map.

The duo first teased their reunion in 2024 with the single “Heat Stick,” followed by the track “Back In Bidness” earlier this year. On April 4th, they delivered on the promise, dropping the full-length album and making it clear: Shoreline Mafia is back and ready to reclaim their throne.

Shoreline Mafia backstory

Shoreline first rose to prominence in the late 2010s with viral street anthems like “Musty,” “Nun Major,” and “Bands,” quickly becoming a staple of West Coast nightlife. During their rise, they helped define a new wave of LA rap, joining the ranks of artists like Drakeo The Ruler, 03 Greedo, 1TakeJay, and AzChike. Despite their momentum, the group disbanded in 2020 following the release of Mafia Bidness, with members pursuing solo careers.

In a 2023 interview the group’s founding member Fenix Flexing stated, “Sometimes a part of growing is growing apart.” During their time apart, group members OhGeezy and Fenix Flexin released a series of singles and solo projects. OhGeezy also cemented his name in the history books as one of the most prominent Mexican-American rappers of the modern era. His work has cleared the path for more Latino artists to follow in his footsteps.

Back In Bidness

With Back In Bidness, Shoreline Mafia is proving they’re evolving. The album serves as both a celebration of their legacy and a bold step forward, proving that the chemistry between OhGeesy and Fenix Flexin is as potent as ever. As they step back into the spotlight, it’s clear that Shoreline Mafia is here to stay. And the West Coast is better for it.
