Summer Walker has been hard at work creating new music, maintaining momentum after giving birth to beautiful twins. In doing so, the modern day empress of R&B recently revealed her return of new music during her stunning performance at 2023’s Dreamville Festival in Raleigh, NC.
Following her set, Summer revealed the release of her forthcoming EP, Clear 2: Soft Life EP. The exciting EP is expected to arrive May 19th via LVRN/Interscope Records. The highly anticipated EP Clear 2 is set to serve as the direct sequel to her 2019 EP, Clear. The critically acclaimed release served as a four-track offering. In addition to a prelude to her magnum opus and Platinum effort, Over It. Walker followed up her platinum-selling LP, Clear, in 2019 with Over It.

Furthermore, the new effort will be her first since her 2021 studio album Still Over It which featured Cardi B and SZA. While the album was a smash hit, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 chart with 166,000 equivalent units sold; Still Over It also had the biggest streaming week in history for a female R&B album.
In 2022, Walker updated her 2018 masterpiece record, Last Day of Summer, with Last Day of Summer (Sped Up). The newer version was released following the TikTok triumph of “Karma”. The single saw an increase in streams after fans sped up the older rendition at the start of 2022. A TikTok influencer, @whereisreese, created the viral dance and helped propel the sizzling single to new heights. Including her No. 9 entry on urban radio, which continues to rise. In fact, Last Day of Summer serves as the first sped-up album released by a major recording artist. Additionally, it is the product of the singer listening to her devoted fanbase, who found enjoyment in revisiting her classics in a newer manner.
