Podcast: Tallie Spencer and KenTheMan talk gender roles and more on Episode 6 of the Show Some Love Podcast

LA based broadcaster and media maven Tallie Spencer has shared the sixth episode to her podcast, Show Some Love.

The episode features Houston based rapper KenTheMan.

On the honest and open-ended episode, the two go back and forth on Gender Roles, deconstructing the traditional patriarchy, women being submissive, equality in relationships, femininity and much more in between.

“It’s cute when a man be like get dressed, I got this thing going but it’s also cool when a woman plans something, not necessarily paying for it, but if your man is your man I’m in the business of I’ll pay for my man, if he’s locked in, I feel like that’s feminine as well” Kentheman revealed her thoughts on reversing roles.

She strongly advocated for a balanced relationship where both genders could share responsibilities like bills, yet still retained firm belief of men being the dominant and pursuant nature.

From issues of providence, general day to day labor distribution, expectations of genders in relationships, traditional stigmas, the two dissect a multitude of topics. More supporting topics like being an alpha female, dating in the world today, same-industry intimacy (romance in music & entertainment), also featured in the conversation figuratively.

Host and co-founder of the podcast Tallie shared the intention of the podcast is “to spread the message of love and highlight dating experiences”. Having got her feet wet in the media fraternity as an accomplished columnist on outlets such as Billboard, Good Morning America, Tallie has gone on to appear as one of Rolling Loud and Hot Freestyle’s On screen hosts interviewing some of Hip Hop’s most prolific stars including Bleu, the late DraceoTheRuler, DDG, NLE Choppa, Blxst, Polo G, just to name a few. Besides having her own digital music outlet that covers the latest news in Hip Hop and R&B, as well as covering independent artists, Tallie has matured gallantly taking form in the podcast space.

“I ventured into podcasting to talk about new things within music but also outside of music. I wanted to share more of my personal experiences. I’m more excited for the topics we have coming next to learn more about love as it applies to our generation” Tallie told Remixd Mag.

So far, stars in Hip Hop and Media such as Cozz, Kalan. FrFr, Seddy Hendrix, Gina Views, Mehgan James, Seddy Hendrinx have all starred on the platform.
