New Music Friday: The best new music, featuring Lil Baby, Kehlani, JT, and more

Lil Baby

The best new music from the week of November 7th!

It’s New Music Friday! At this time, the fall has not fallen short of expectations in terms of new music. Unlike last year, each week has given us something refreshing to look forward to. This week’s edition features standout releases from Lil Baby, Kehlani, JT , and many more. Read on to find the latest tracks and albums that dropped this week.

New Music Friday Picks

Lil Baby – “Try To Love”

Finally, Lil Baby has made his gracious return to music and he sounds rejuvenated. “Try To Love” is the first track from his “Wham Wednesday” series, and it’s a blessing that he’s approaching music more casually. For that reason, it feels like he is returning to his print days.

Kehlani – “Out The Window”

Surprisingly, Kehlani has found a way to reach new peaks with her music in 2025. Building off of that momentum, she has gifted us “Out The Window,” and all the signs are pointing towards her not slowing down. With this in mind, this track is guaranteed to blow you out of the water with the way she transports her vocals to the early 2000s.

JT – “Girls Gone Wild”

Admittedly, the start of JT’s solo career has been filled with ups and downs. Ultimately left with no choice but to sink or float, “Girls Gone Wild” sends a message that she’s here to stay. It’s obvious she felt the pressure, and she responded accordingly with a fun single.

Female Fetales

Sexyy Red – “For No Reason”

Despite, the summer being over, Sexyy Red is still dropping music, especially after being nominated for a Grammy. All in all, this track does breed more excitement for her to drop a full-length project. While it doesn’t necessarily feel like a lead single, it does it’s job as an appetizer.

Savannah Ré – “Hold You”

Generally speaking, Toronto has one of the most prosperous R&B scenes and Savannah Ré is one artist you should keep on your radar. Her newly released single convincingly asserts she’s arrived. There’s beauty in the details of her songwriting giving this track a timeless feel.

Rapper’s Delight

G Herbo – ‘Lil Herb’ (Album)

Of course, as a music lover, there’s no better feeling than when an artist goes back to what made us fall in love with them. In short, this is what G Herbo successfully accomplished in his new album making me feel like in the early drill days. Longevity is the name of the game, and G Herbo has figured out how to cater to both new and old fans.

MexikoDro – ‘Still Goin the Ep’ (EP)

Quietly, ATL producer turned rapper, MexikoDro has truly made a name for himself within the past year. He fully unleashes his not-so-secret weapon of elite producing skills to complement his no-nonsense rapping style. Coming in at a short & sweet runtime of 34 minutes, this EP is very digestable for trap lovers.

Bushy B – “Meet Me In The 305”

To conclude this edition of New Music Friday, we have a romantic-themed single from Miami-based artist, Bushy B. Amidst the second career resurgence he’s having right now, Bushy B. perfectly timed his new release to further capitalize. He brings such an effortless swagger that makes this track impossible to hate.

We hope you enjoyed this week’s edition of New Music Friday!
