Usher
 is just getting started amid his Super Bowl Halftime Performance. Earlier today,(Feb 11) he performed his record breaking Super Bowl halftime performance. Significantly, Usher becomes the first artist in Super Bowl history to play a set timed at 15 minutes. This is two more above the normal allotted time to the halftime show act. Usher Showed Love to HBCU’s

If you are an Alumnus of an Historically Black College University, you may have noticed the white and navy blue hue worn by the featured band. For the band elements, Usher teams up with Jackson State Universities band also known as ‘The Sonic Boom of the South.’ Jackson State University is a Historically Black College located in Jackson, Mississippi. Aside from academics, their band is known for their crisp sound along side their popularly known dance line, ‘Prancing J-Settes.’ Jackson State’s band undeniably complimented Usher’s performance. Representation of the Divine Nine (NPHC)

Usher shows love to the Divine Nine fraternities and sororities of the National Pan-Hellenic Council. During his performance of ‘Love In This Club,’ Usher danced along side two members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. The two members that were featured alongside Usher during the performance are Havier Daivon (@havierdaivon) and D.J. Hill (@the_dhill). 

He brought out tons of special guests 

Furthermore, he seized the moment by including a host of special musical guests. Alicia Keys joined Usher in a performance of her song ‘If I Ain’t’ Got You’ and well as their 2004 collaboration ‘My Boo’. Seamlessly, he transition into more of his ‘Confessions’ era performing ‘Confessions, Pt. II’ along side Jermaine Dupri. He also featured H.E.R as she played the iconic guitar solo to ‘You Got It Bad.’ During the brief performance of ‘Yeah,’ Lil John and Ludacris joined him. Additionally, Will.i.am reunited with Usher on the Super Bowl Stage with their collaborative song ‘OMG.’

From the A to Las Vegas: Usher leaves another mark in Las Vegas 

Moreover, Usher has undeniably left his mark in Las Vegas. Last year, he ended his year long highly acclaimed residency. Conveniently, Usher made his return to the big stage in Las Vegas. The set’s beginning theme encapsulated Las Vegas with burlesque themed costumes. This can be seen as an official sign off as he is gearing up for his upcoming ‘Past Present Future’ tour. The tour kicks off this coming August in Washington, DC at Capital One Arena.

Furthermore, he was sure to include the various sounds of his timeless catalogue. From his iconic ‘Confessions’ era on down to his ‘Raymond vs Raymond’ album, his set list was blended seamlessly.
