Trippychidi is going “Both Ways” on his latest fiery single

The promising Dallas native talks his latest single “Both Ways”, perfecting his craft, teases an EP, and more.

Dallas, Texas standout Trippychidi is closing the year in a militant mood. His latest offering “Both Ways” is an ominous track laid on classic Chiraq drill sonics, with a fervor to the beat at hand.

Hostile and heinous in its nature, Chidi opts for a more aggressive tone and style as he declares war and wrath on his opps.

“22 Glock bullets they don’t hold no name”, “I been jugging scamming n****s”, “Spin ya block in a impala we twirl like Spaghetti”, “And this choppa holding 50 like he’s Santana” he lilts on the agonizingly violent cut.

Chidi who got his name from his childhood and escapades, “Trippychidi (my artist name) but my real name, Chidi. The name originated from a couple of things in middle school. I had hella friends and shit who would always say “I’m tripping” for certain things even though I wasn’t so when I first started making music I just took the whole “tripping” thing and ran with it” he says before opening up on an alternative twist to his eye-brow raising moniker – “I also had a psychedelic accident when I was younger and the whole experience always kinda stuck with me.”

The fast rising Dallas emoter is bullish after releasing his diabolical “Both Ways” and tells Remixd Mag he is working on sharing his first ever full-length EP.

“I’m working on dropping my first ep this year around summer but I’m not tryna rush the process so if I gotta extend it to later down the year I will. I’m really focusing on crafting my sound at this point” he concedes.

Inspired by prolific names such as Chief Keef, 21 Savage, he also unveils his melodic edge can be attributed to a Rae Sremmurd influence.

As the year comes to a close, check out this talented act and add him to your playlists.
