“‘vueltas’ was born from an idea I had stuck in my head for the vocal chop part on the last, exhausting day of a writing trip in Colombia,” VALÉ shares. “It took nearly a year to finish. But I’m really proud of how it captures the feeling of a looping, cyclical relationship. Hence the title, which means ‘going in circles’ in Spanish.” She adds that the song’s structure mirrors this emotional loop, flowing “like a run-on sentence.”
The track blends VALÉ’s signature mix of pop, R&B, and Latin influences. Thus, delivering swirling melodies and sharp lyricism that dive deep into the frustration and clarity of a love that’s one-sided. “vueltas” feels both personal and universal, inviting listeners into the complicated emotions of knowing when to say enough.
