Yadda Man says Dizzy Wright feature on ‘Jacket Weather’ album is the result of divine timing

Yadda Man

Yadda Man continues to rise in the ranks in the Midwest Hip Hop scene following the release of his new 10-track album Jacket Weather.

The mindful project arrives as his third joint-effort release between his imprint, Off Brand Music Group, and former Maybach Music Group artist Stalley’s fledging label Blue Collar Gang. Intact with a hyper-personal lyrical approach, Jacket Weather also houses several standout features such as Dizzy Wright’s guest verse on “Outta Sight.”

During an exclusive conversation with Remixd Magazine, Yadda Man gives details of how the song materialized, based on multiple chance encounters with the “Untouchable,” rapper over the years.

“Honestly, I had already had that record [‘Outta Sight’] too,” Yadda Man says. “I’m a big fan of Dizzy Wright. I run into him all the time. I reached out to him on Instagram and asked if he would bless me with a verse and he did.”

Though Dizzy Wright is a seasoned lyricist and promptly bodied the verse in one take, Yadda Man went on to reveal how he accidentally finessed a two-for-one special after mistakingly sending Dizzy a record Chicago MC Mick Jenkins had already hopped on.

“He killed that shit too,” Yadda says. “He did his thing first go round but he actually sent back a verse on ‘Do you remember,’ which I sent him on accident after Mick [Jenkins} jumped on it, quiet as kept. I’ll keep that version to myself. “

Yadda Man’s Jacket Weather album follows the deluxe release of his recent project JiMMY, and includes features Ria Gold, Julian Thomas and more. Music videos for key album tcutss such as “Real Friends,” and “Bundle Up,” are already raking in thousands of views.
