Yung Miami has made a bigger name for herself outside of music within recent years. The same can be said about her group member, JT. As the duo recently released their new album, Raw, the Miami based group sat down with The Breakfast Club morning show to discuss their new album in addition to their solo endeavors. Additionally, Yung Miami seized the moment to address her critics who believed she didn’t deserved her recent BET award for her podcast “Caresha Please.”

On Wednesday, The City Girls made an appearance on The Breakfast Club morning show alongside hosts Charlamagne tha God and Dj Envy. The topic switches to Yung Miami’s popular podcast, “Caresha Please,” receiving great success in addition to several awards. Additionally, Miami took the time to address Charlamagne’s past comments about the validity of her Bet Awards “Best Hip-Hop Platform” win. “I just feel like people always saying that I don’t deserve stuff, why I don’t deserve anything?” Yung Miami said. “I work hard, I deserve everything,” Miami defended. “When I just did my first live podcast, the line was around the corner,” she adds. Additionally, Charlamagne shared his reasoning being her not putting out “enough“ over the show she beat called “Drink Champs.” “I want people to anticipate my s**t,” she responded back.

Moreover, Young Miami addressed the stigma of what black women deserve. “I just feel like as a Black woman, people always discredit us,” she said. She continued to defend her win over Charlamagne’s opinion. “Don’t discredit me, I work hard, I am away from my kids. I deserve everything that’s coming to me,” she added. In 2022, BET acknowledged her show Caresha Please in a historical tied win between her podcast and the podcast Drink Champs hosted by rap veteran N.O.R.E and DJ EFN.
Furthermore, Yung Miami continues to remain poised within her career success. Earlier this month, the first live taping of her show aired which featured highly acclaimed influencer, Ari Da Don as her special guest. Yung Miami continues to demonstrate her versatility with her release of her album with her group member JT last week.
