Promising North Miami bred emcee and upcoming LA based rapper Zoe Deuce Papi is reflective and assertive in his latest offering, “Good Fellaz MuZik 2.”
The mid-tempo record boasts blemishes of Zoe in his braggadocio element brandishing himself as a figure that beat the odds and emerged successful, while still taking accountability of his eventful past.
“Zoe Papi you can catch me in the latest fragrance, Valentino’s on my feet stepping like a true king, in and out of traffic with a bad b***h from Miami, sipping Moët rolling up some Za from Cali, stay down till you come up and we got it right, b****es fronting on me got em’ figured twice, sacrificed a lot just to live this life” he raps in an emotionally transcending chorus that is recited on a semi-melancholic instrumental sparkling with sampled vocal chops, groovy drum patterns, adequate bass and glistening hi-hats.
“Overall the song is sort of motivational and a vibe of me speaking about a couple hardships and how staying down till you come up will always get you where you want to be” he told Remixd Mag of the inspiration behind the unhinged track.
“The song could relate to anyone who’ve struggled and still stood tall thru the trials and tribulations of life and is now reaping the Benefits of standing tall and staying true.” He continued.
For his latest offering, Zoe does not shy away from giving account of a tumultuous come-up. He is vulnerable, grateful, and light-hearted as he shares his own stories that reflect pain, victory, and hard work. Zoe manages to keep listeners engaged with different references such as “f***ing real sisters before Future made a hood classic” – among his thoughtful song-writing dexterity that features solid repetition, intentional name-dropping of relatable brands, and accompanying different techniques that embolden him to being a certified writer, rapper, and performer.
“Good Fellaz MuZik 2” is also a sequel to the first version that is in his earlier dropped LP, Zoetry, that was dropped in early January 2022.
Classifying his sound as “motivational soul trap rap that you can ride around late night cruising to catch a vibe”, “Good Fellaz MuZik 2” is a classic example of this description as it depicts the gaudy side to Zoe’s music but still packs bags of substance that is equipped to have you enjoy it, but still zone out into introspection and deep thought.
