Tory Lanez announces ‘Alone At Prom’ deluxe alongside a new visual for “The Color Violet”

Tory Lanez is finding ways to maintain releasing new music dispute being behind bars. On Monday, the 31-year-old rapper has released the music video for this 2021 single, “The color violet.” Additionally, Tory Lanez took to Instagram to announce the official release date for the deluxe edition of his 2021 project Alone At Prom. The caption reads “THE COLOR VIOLET…ALONE AT PROM DELUXE….NOVEMBER 17th” alongside the purple umbrella emoji.

Moreover, it has been roughly two months since fans of Tory have heard any updates from him. This past September, a voicemail recording of Tory was posted on his Instagram in which directly addressed his fans concerns about the possibility of new music. During the recording, he revealed his project Alone At Prom will be receiving a deluxe. Additionally, he shared that he is in “great spirits” amidst his recent 10 year conviction for his involvement in the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.

His latest visual for “The Color Violet” follows the theme of the name of his project Alone At Prom.. With its red and violet color scheme, the visual caters to 80’s nostalgia. Within its first hour of its release, the video has surpassed 6 thousand views on YouTube.

Tory’s project “Alone At Prom” released in 2021. Additionally, he released two more projects that same year such as PLAYBOY & its live version PLAYBOY Live. Tory’s most recent release Sorry 4 What was released in 2022. Notably, the album includes features from Yoko Gold and A Boogie with da Hoodie.

Maintaining momentum, he brought his five-year-old daughter, Stormi Webster, on stage to sing “MAFIA.” Although her parents are always in the limelight, Stormi Webster seemed to have been nervous at first hitting the stage. But, the cheering crowd on seemed to loosen her up a bit to ease her fears. These appearances left the fans craving more.

Nicki Minaj considers releasing unreleased records as an EP prior to ‘Pink Friday 2’

As previously reported here at Remixd Magazine, Nicki Minaj and her highly anticipated album, Pink Friday 2, have been hitting headlines left and right! Remaining  a force to be reckoned with in the music industry, she has given us hits after hits and continues to blow our minds with her bars and talent. Recently, she took to Instagram Live to play snippets of unreleased songs, leaving her fans buzzing and wanting more. 

In the midst of the unreleased reviews, she mentions giving one unreleased record to Sexyy Red alongside other femcees. While also considering dropping an EP to put them out with the singles that didn’t make the cut. In fact, the idea of an EP before an album is not new in the industry. It actually has been quite successful in the past. An EP is essentially a shorter version of an album, typically consisting of 3 to 6 songs. It’s a great way for artists to give their fans a taste of what’s to come. All while building anticipation for their upcoming albums/projects.
