Baton Rouge rapper Jireh keeps it real on new single, “Spinnin”

Following the footsteps of previous Louisiana lyricists like Currensy, Jireh isn't afraid to prove his worth as he did in "Spinnin".

Baton Rouge rapper, Jireh aims to bring a certain level of authenticity to all of his raps. Following in the footsteps of previous Louisiana lyricists such as Curren$y, Jireh isn’t afraid to go against the grain and create music that’s not primarily made with the intention of mainstream success. His soulful single “Spinnin” reminds listeners that he’s in music for the long haul and not for a quick buck.

The beat, produced by Lim0 & Stoic is very infectious. It’s very tame and gentle, especially the soothing background vocals. It’s actually quite fitting as it allows Jireh & Quadry to bounce off each other and showcase their lyrical chemistry while not getting overshadowed by the production.

Jireh’s lyrics on “Spinnin” serve as a confirmation of his extensive rapping skillset. The proof is truly in the pudding, as Jireh brings his “A-game” in each of his verses. His calm and collected delivery makes it seem like he does it with ease while still managing to incorporate some complex wordplay.

“The goal and purpose was not to look for comparisons but to clear the doubt of whether or not I could rap” – Jireh on “Spinnin”

“Spinnin” is one of those tracks that has immense replay value and doesn’t sacrifice the artist’s creative integrity. If you’re like me and have a go-to playlist used to uplift your spirits, this song is a must-add.
