Remixd Magazine is an independent music publication. We cover hip-hop, R&B and music news because we care about the artists and the culture, and we want you to know how this site makes money. This page explains how advertising, affiliate links, sponsored content and our relationships work, so you can read everything here knowing where it comes from.
Our editorial independence
Our editorial team decides what we cover and what we say about it. Advertisers, affiliate partners and sponsors do not approve, edit or review our stories before they are published. Our opinions are our own.
Display advertising
Remixd Magazine shows display ads through Google AdSense, and we may work with other ad networks in the future. These ads help keep the site free to read. We do not choose the individual ads you see, and an ad appearing on our site is not an endorsement of the product or company.

Free products, early access and event invites
Artists, labels, publicists and brands sometimes send us music before it comes out, free products, or invitations to shows and events. Receiving any of these does not guarantee coverage, and it does not guarantee positive coverage. When it matters to a story, we will let you know how we got access.
Remixd Magazine and RemixdPR
Remixd Magazine and RemixdPR are separate businesses that are both owned by Tallie Spencer. RemixdPR is a music public relations company. RemixdPR clients do not receive guaranteed or preferential coverage on Remixd Magazine. If Remixd Magazine covers an artist or company that is a RemixdPR client, we will disclose that relationship in the article.
